The Chapel of Our Lady of Genooi is a small Roman Catholic chapel in the north of Venlo, dating back to 1423, built after the example of the chapel of Loreto in Italy. The building is a national monument.
The chapel is located on the west side of the Genooierhof, a farm with stables, a barn, a garden, and an orchard. On the east side of this farm lies the processional and Stations of the Cross park. The entire area is on the edge of the Genooi neighborhood. This area belongs to the former Venlo bantuin. Like the Italian shrine in Loreto, the Genoese chapel consisted of a single nave, elongated in shape, with a choir. The whitewashed walls featured square window openings. A steeple was situated on the pointed roof. Originally, a stream or ditch lay in front of the chapel, which also surrounded the Genooierhof.
