Farm Oostvliet
Large farm XVII with extended upstairs room on the Vliet. Northern extension with gabled façade. Old window frames and good rod distribution.
In the past, the farm could only be reached by boat over the adjacent Vliet or on foot for centuries. The Vlietweg was made in 1914. The trees along the road and on the other side of the Vliet were planted after the Second World War to replace everything that the people of Leiden had sawed off during that war.
In the early fifties the area still looked very agricultural. There were no bungalows along the Vlietweg yet. Later came the Allotment Complexes.
