Cat Bridge

Source: Groenehartstocht

Description

On the border of Ter Aar and Nieuwveen lies the Kattenbrug over the Aar.
Just like the old Papenbrug and the Aardammerbrug, it is a double folding bridge.
In 1926, the double swing bridge of the old Cat Bridge was replaced. The current Kattenbrug is a replica of the original bridge from 1926, built in 1995.

On the right is a quack bridge and the old Provincial House of South Holland
Behind the Kattenburg is the Tolhuiskade on the other side. Over the bridge on the right is the former municipality of Nieuwveen.
