Description

The Goois Nature Reserve manages this forest area De Zuid. The forest borders a large contiguous forest area; the Lage Vuursche and Pijnenburg. A hundred years ago, De Zuid was still an open heath. After 1945, the pine forest was planted here. Meanwhile, the share of deciduous trees is increasing. In the middle of De Zuid lies the Erfgooiersbos.
