Description

From the end of the 19th century until the 1970s, dozens of farms were in operation south of Hilversum. The farmers let their cattle graze on the vast meadows between Hilversum and Loosdrecht. Now only a single farm is still in use. In 1936, the Egelshoek trailer park was built on part of these grasslands. Another large part became the airfield.
