Gooyergracht - spelled exactly this way - has been the name of the wide border ditch between the municipality of Eemnes and Blaricum since around 1975, according to topographic maps. At the end of 2018, the owner of the water, the Amstel Gooi en Vecht Water Board, decided to use the contemporary spelling Gooiergracht as a result of a project by the Land Registry to bring the topographic maps in the area in question up to date.
