The Kymmelsberg is a hill of drifting sand in the village of Schipborg, belonging to the municipality of Aa en Hunze in the Dutch province of Drenthe.
The Kymmelsberg is still relatively young. In the seventeenth century, the connecting roads from Germany to Amsterdam and from Coevorden to Groningen ran here. The remains of the cart tracks are still visible. The fanning out of the cart tracks on the dry and sandy ground created drifting sand hills thrown up by the wind. The Kymmelsberg was the highest of these, located just at the junction between the ash of Schipborg and the stream valley of the Drentsche Aa.
