The St. Andries lock is a lock in the St. Andries Canal between the Meuse at kilometre 209 and the Waal at kilometre 926, between Sint Andries and Rossum. In the past, the rivers here were in open connection with each other.
The lock is 110 metres long, 14 metres wide and the lock threshold is -2 m NAP. The lift doors can be raised up to +11.88 m NAP. Over the lock is a lift bridge with the bottom closed at 9.35m NAP. This lift bridge is part of the N322. Next to the northern lifting towers is a fixed bridge at +13 m NAP intended for cyclists. In case of emergencies, it can also be used by the police, fire brigade and ambulance. The lock keeper can be called on VHF channel VHF 20. The lock is operated remotely from the lock complex in Lith. At an open water level in the Waal of 7.75 m NAP or higher, no artillery is used.
