The Van Essen barracks is a former artillery barracks in the Gelderland town of Ede. Until the end of 2010, it was part of the Prince Mauritskazerne barracks complex, which also included the Arthur Koolkazerne, Mauritskazerne, Johan Willem Frisokazerne and P.L. Bergansiuskazerne.
The barracks were built between 1906 and 1908 in so-called chalet style. The building has an H-shape and is identical to the adjacent Arthur Koolkazerne. Both barracks have an H-shaped layout and are practically each other's mirror image. The whole was probably designed by captain first engineer Van Stolk.
