Remembrance of the Red Cross' assistance in the evacuation of Operation Market Garden in September 1944
This monument commemorates the evacuation of many people to Otterlo during the battle of Arnhem in September 1944. For more information you can read the witness story on go2war2, information about the evacuation can be found on page 6.
The monument is a stone column. It says, among other things, Otterlo 855 1955 There is a plaque on it with the text:
