Hondsdonk is an estate that is located south of Ulvenhout and forms the connection between the Strijbeekse Heide and the estates Luchtenburg and Valkenberg.The estate is already mentioned in a deed of 1364 in which there was mention of a farm owned by a certain Claeus van Oekel. In 1625 the farm burned down and in 1657 a deed of transfer mentions a new house, on a slightly modified site, as well as barn, cages, a court and orchard, lands, meadows, peat fields, woods and the yards around them. Philibert van Borssele then handed over the property to Cornelis van Blyenburg. In 1702 the farm was extended.
