Description

The Windmill of Lombok is a watermill on the river Jeker in the Sint Pieter neighborhood in the south of the Dutch municipality of Maastricht. The mill is a mid-stroke mill and is located on the left bank of the river and used to consist of two mill buildings. The front mill was used as a grain mill until 1850, the rear one was an oil mill. Only the cast-iron milling chair with the iron mill wheel from 1937 on it is still present from the front. That is why today only this building is referred to as the Mill of Lombok. Opposite is a third watermill: the Mill of Dollaert.
