The Heimolen is a semi-closed post mill in Leende. The cabinet is covered with oak shales. The mill has wooden breasts, which are 16 meters long. The mill has one pair of blue grinding stones, which have a diameter of 98 cm.
It was originally a closed post mill that dates from 1754 and was built on a drifting sand mountain, called the Molenberg, near the current Molenberg viaduct, on the Molenheide. The mill, which was used as a flour mill, was a successor to a predecessor that burned down on 20 June 1754. Originally, the mill stood on open heathland, but the Forestry Commission created the Leenderbos there. In addition, miller Piet Kerkhofs, who had been the owner since 1926, had a motor mill set up at his home after a few years.
