From a thousand-in-a-dozen polder to a spectacular nature reserve. The Zevenhoven polder in the South Holland municipality of Nieuwkoop has undergone this transformation in recent years. Since 2008, the polder has been redesigned and renamed Groene Jonker.
The name Groene Jonker refers to the Jonker bovenmolen B that is located on the Kromme Mijdrechtse
stood. The mill was partially demolished in 1928 and converted into a house.
