The Barneveld Stream

There are even two: The Kleine and Grote Barneveldse Beek. The Grote Barneveldse Beek is fed by so-called spring streams in the area of villages on the edge of the Veluwe, such as Harskamp and Otterlo. The Kleine Barneveldse Beek springs from the east of Barneveld and flows here, after 8km, into its larger brother which later merges into the Valleikanaal near Amersfoort. A large part of the catchment area of the streams is designated as an ecological connection zone. The goal is to enhance the migration and habitat of species that are bound to the stream valley and adjacent nature areas. Just before the two streams merge, you can cross the stream here via two adjacent little bridges. Coming from the north, you first encounter the Kleine and after 30m the Grote Barneveldse Beek.
