From the monastery town of Wittem, the van Plettenbergweg goes up and after the summit it ends under the railway line of the Miljoenenlijntje at the foot of the infamous Eyserbosweg. The Plettenberg is almost 900 meters long and has an average gradient of 3.6%, maximum 7.1%. The road has a red bike lane on both sides.
