The Sacred Heart statue is a statue in Ossendrecht
In 1933, Pastor A.M. Vermunt of St. Gertrude's Church celebrated his silver priestly jubilee. He was offered a Sacred Heart statue by the parishioners.
The sculpture was made in the studio J.W. Ramakers en Zonen in Geleen.
It was unveiled on August 26, 1934, on that day the Gertrude parish celebrated its centenary.
The monument consists of a sculpture group; in the middle is a Christ figure dressed in draped robes, on his chest the Sacred Heart is visible.
He holds his hands raised blessing above a kneeling man with shovel on his right and a kneeling woman with toddler on his left.
