Harselaar is a village in the Dutch municipality of Barneveld and lies between Barneveld and Voorthuizen.
The name Harselaar already appeared in the 14th century as Hersler and possibly refers to a laar with hers or hers. Initially, it referred to a neighboring settlement located further west, between the current village and Terschuur. This area also contained a manor called Klein Harselaar, which was mentioned in 1600.
