At Terras Keent - the coffee and tea terrace with studio and museum - you are welcome for relaxing moments. While enjoying a drink. Enjoying the silence and the beautiful unspoilt garden. Before, after or during a wonderful bike ride or brisk walk in the beautiful Oude Maasarm Keent nature reserve, settle down on our terrace. There will be a delicious cup of coffee, tea or soft drink with a light snack. Every day there is our apple pie, which is now world famous around Keent. The homemade soup, sandwiches and delicious sandwiches are also highly recommended. Because our terrace is located in the middle of the nature reserve, you can relax there. The birds are chirping and our peacocks and chickens are scurrying around quietly.
Our fine farm can be rented as a holiday home. To relax, to enjoy the peace and nature, to be outside, to have a nice holiday.
There is plenty of room in our house. You have access to the large cozy kitchen, the basic living room and the 4 bedrooms on the upper floor. There are 2 single rooms and 2 double rooms (with double beds). There is also a possibility to add a guest bed or to bring your own mattress/air mattress in consultation. On the upper floor there is also a shower with toilet. On the ground floor there are also 2 toilets (which are shared during the day with the guests of our coffee and tea terrace) and a separate shower. Around the house is a spacious garden, which can also be used to the fullest.
You can rent the house for a weekend, a midweek, or a combination of both.
If the house is not yet rented, you can also contact us for one or more nights and also per room. Unfortunately, you can NOT book this well in advance. If you rent a room, you will share the rest of the house with any other guests
Keent is a hamlet in the Dutch province of North Brabant, located between the village of Overlangel and the river Maas. Keent is derived from Keen, which indicates a crack or fissure. This refers to the raised land, along the river. Until 2003 it belonged to the municipality of Ravenstein, which in that year merged into the larger Oss.
The oldest mention of Keent dates back to 1282. The town has a Gelderland past: until 1923 it belonged to the municipality of Balgoij in Gelderland, which merged into Overasselt in that year. The Meuse originally ran south of the village and also formed the border river at that time. Because of the risk of flooding, and in particular as a result of a flood in 1925, the Meander of Keent was cut off in 1938 and Keent came to lie on the left bank of the canalized river. The connection with Balgoij has since been severed. With the Gelderland-Brabant border corrections of 1958, Keent was transferred from the province of Gelderland to the province of North Brabant and was assigned to the municipality of Ravenstein.
