Capelle aan den IJssel Station

Capelle aan den IJssel is a former railway station on the Utrecht - Rotterdam line between the current stations Rotterdam Alexander and Nieuwerkerk a/d IJssel. The station of Capelle aan den IJssel was open from July 30, 1855, until May 15, 1935, when another route was taken into use.
The first wooden station building in Capelle had already been used as a temporary office during the construction of the railway line. Almost identical buildings were located in Woerden, Oudewater, and Nieuwerkerk.
