Description

The water tower of Hazerswoude-Rijndijk designed by architect A.D. Heederik dates from 1915 and now has an office destination. The tower is owned by Hoogvliet Beheer, part of the Hoogvliet supermarket chain.
Controlling the water pressure as an original function became superfluous in 1985. After that, the tower, with a potential water reservoir of 200,000 liters, was no longer used, and would be demolished. After protests, it was decided to give the tower a different function.
