De Moriaan is a house with a Renaissance façade from ca. 1625 on the Westhaven in Gouda. It is a national monument.
The current façade in the Dutch Renaissance style was built around 1617. The façade was built on a flight of course, sloping forward, so that the upper floors were given more space lengthwise. Another advantage is that the façade was not directly exposed to the falling rain. The top floor is more than 1 meter longer than the ground floor rooms.
