The entrance to Leidsevaart 3 in Rijnsaterwoude is formed by a monumental bridge, which was built in 1872 as a two-part drawbridge over the river Does in Hoogmade. In 1925 the bridge was replaced by a larger one, and the old bridge was moved to the Hoogmade - Rijpwetering road, where it crossed the Noord-Aa. It became redundant after the construction of the A4 and moved to Rijnsaterwoude in the 60s. One half of the bridge has been refurbished here and has since served as access to the house Leidsevaartlaan 3.
