The Biesbosch lock is a lock with pointed gates between the Nieuwe Merwede at kilometre 962.3 and the Steurgat. The lock is located in the municipality of Altena. The waterway is CEMT class I.De lock is 61.95 m long, and the width is 7 m. There is a drawbridge next to the interior doors. Height in closed position NAP +4.82 m. The lowest threshold depth is NAP -3.20 m on both sides. Guns are up to 55.4 m long, with permission up to 60 m.
