The Arboretum-Heempark Delft is located in the natural and recreational area Delftse Hout in the municipality of Delft, in the Dutch province of South Holland. The park was established starting from 1966.
The Arboretum-Heempark is a combination of an arboretum and a home garden. The establishment was intended by the city council as compensation for the then ongoing city expansion. In the late sixties, they wanted to create a refuge for displaced plants and animals. And to give the city dwellers the opportunity to learn about nature and nature conservation through the park.
