The Walk of Fame Europe was the Rotterdam equivalent of the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the largest Walk of Fame in Europe. Celebrities from the Netherlands and beyond left their handprints here. The Rotterdam Walk of Fame was opened on May 5, 1990, by the mayor of Hollywood, Johnny Grant. The Stars Boulevard in Rotterdam was located by the waterfront on the sidewalk of Schiedamsedijk. This is close to the Maritime Museum and the Outdoor Museum.
On April 4, 2022, the star sidewalk with sixty tiles at Metroplein near Rotterdam Ahoy was dismantled. As many tiles from the Rotterdam stars as possible are or will be relocated throughout the city.
