In the Banholtse Dalestraat, opposite the Lourdes grotto, there has been a well for many years. This pit collapsed around 1958-1959 and was then filled in and demolished. Nothing in the streets reminds us of this well. Fortunately, an old postcard from 1916 has been preserved and this old plate brings the past back to life (top photo).
At the very bottom of the Dalestraat there was also a well. Again, nothing remains but an old photo (below) from 1915.
