Between the Lange Tiendweg and De Gouderakse Landscheiding there is an unpaved footpath through the polder.
The route is marked with walking nodes junction 65 at the lange tiendweg and junction 63 at the Gouderakse Landscheiding.
In the 11th century, our ancestors started mining the Krimpenerwaard. Drainage ditches were dug at right angles to the rivers Vlist, Hollandse IJssel and Lek. The Lange Tiendweg ensured accessibility of the elongated plots. The Gouderakse Landscheiding formed the boundary between cleared land and surrounding uncultivated peat bog. The timber quays and current tithe roads prevented the water from the marshes from flowing into the newly drained agricultural areas.
