Eijsden railway station, Stationsplein 9, Eijsden
The Wilhelminastraat connects the old core Eijsden with the Station. In addition to transporting passengers, standard fruit such as cherries, pears and apples was also loaded here to be transported to the north of the Netherlands, England, Belgium and France. The station is also known because in 1918, at the end of the First World War, the German Emperor Wilhelm II had to wait here for the results of his asylum application. A plaque at the station reminds of this.
