Meschermolen, Meschermolen 1 Mesch
On your left side is the Meschermolen. This is a beautifully restored farm with a water mill. For centuries, the mill has been grinding kalamin (zinc ore) and grain. The farm has been converted into a holiday apartment complex. From the Mescher Molenpad, we have a magnificent view of the hills surrounding Mesch, with the valley of Voer at its feet. The bike path could be enhanced on the left with a wider flower-rich verge adjacent to the meadows and on the right with a flower-rich field edge. The left verge is reasonably diverse in plant species.
