Originally villa Carla, Boslaan 7. Jan Jacob Slauerhoff stayed here during his last days of life. He died in the guest house, Villa Carla, on 5 October 1936, shortly after his collection "An honest watery grave" had been published. The last days, from 1 to 5 October, Adriaan Roland Holst sat at his sick bed.
