Description

Op het kerkhof van Elsloo, in de gemeente Stein, staat een grafkapel van de grafelijke familie De Geloes. Tot 1843 stond hier een oude kerk. Waar vroeger het koor stond, staat nu de kapel. Na de instorting en afbraak van de kerk in 1844 bleef de grafkelder van de kasteelheren van Elsloo, die voorheen onder het koor lag, behouden. De adellijke familie De Geloes bouwde hierboven een grafkapel voor hun familiegraf. De wapens van De Geloes staan nog steeds in het hekwerk rond de grafkapel.
