The old church in the center of Valkenburg is small, romantic, and has been mentioned since the thirteenth century. For a long time (1633-1819), it served as a simultaneous church for Catholics and Protestants.
Many different style elements reveal the many renovations: the church tower belongs to one of the oldest parts, and the hand of the famous architect Pierre Cuypers and his son can be recognized in the last major renovation from 1904. The church is open for visits.
