The Gerendal is a nature and hiking area in Dutch South Limburg, on the border of the municipalities of Valkenburg aan de Geul and Eijsden-Margraten. The Gerendal mainly concerns a wide asymmetrical dry valley that is over three kilometers long, located between the Geul valley in the north near Schin op Geul and the plateau of Margraten near Scheulder in the south. On the eastern side of the valley lies a continuous and steep wooded calcareous slope. The forests are interrupted in some places by species-rich calcareous grasslands with numerous species of orchids. Behind this slope with ridge lies a small valley behind which are the Sousberg and Keutenberg. On the western side of the Gerendal lies, among other things, the Sint-Jansbosch, which contains the Gerendal Quarry.
