Vijlenerbos

In the longest forest in the Netherlands (8 kilometers) you brave height differences of about 100 meters! A real slope forest, but there are also flat parts. There is needle and
deciduous forest, all kinds of streams flow in the lower parts and on the forest edges higher up you can enjoy great views.
The Vijlenerbos is one of the most beautiful forests in South Limburg. It is a well-known area, but large enough to visit the quiet parts. At night it gets here
pitch dark and it's good stargazing. Also special are the rare forest animals that live here, such as the badger, the stone marten and the wild cat.
