In the Princenhage district, on the Laan van Mertesem, this chapel of thanksgiving was inaugurated on Sunday, September 11, 1949.
With the construction of the chapel, the people of Princenhage expressed their gratitude for the end of the war.
The brick house of worship, with its recessed tent roof and onion-shaped top, has an octagonal ground plan due to its beveled corners.
Against the facade, the Mary monogram is placed in wrought iron.
A few benches and a brick elevation with the statue of Our Lady with child on her left knee fill the interior. Both Mary and the child are crowned.
This chapel commemorates the liberation of Breda by the 1st Polish Armored Division in 1944.
In 1994, a plaque was placed on the chapel.
