In 1951, the Old Milk Factory in Buren opened its doors. Many farmers from central and western Betuwe were affiliated with this cooperative dairy. It was actively in use until 1981. Since then, several companies have entered and left the building. At the moment, there are about a dozen companies located in the building, which has fallen into disrepair. Since May of this year, Hans Bronkhorst has been the new owner of the building and associated grounds.
Exactly 70 years later, the Old Milk Factory has changed hands again and is being renovated with materials that fit the rural environment and with respect for the history of the characteristic building.
