Shelters

Description

These group shelters were for the defense of the Tholen-Bergen op Zoom road and were built in early 1918.

On Wednesday 5 February 2014, the municipality of Bergen op Zoom moved two shelters from the First World War.
The concrete structures were located in an agricultural area on the Boomdijk in Halsteren, but because the landowners indicated that they were hindered by their work, the shelters were moved to the edge of the road.
