Description

The war memorial in Moerstraten (municipality of Roosendaal) is a granite tombstone with an inscription.
In the background is a high rising cross, with the emblem of the Canadian Armed Forces at its heart.
At the foot of the cross is a commemorative plaque. The tombstone is 6 meters high, 6 meters wide and 3 meters deep.

The text on the plaque reads:

'IN GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE
TO THE HEROES
WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES'.

The tombstone inscribes the names of nine fallen Canadian soldiers.

In 2008 the monument was restored by order of the municipality.
