Description

A real undiscovered natural gem is the Wormdal. It is therefore hidden 'behind' Kerkrade against the German border. The Worm wriggles its way here
through heavily overgrown nature. Erosion fells a tree every now and then, but the beaver also lends a hand. This makes for adventurous hiking with a tree trunk here and there on the path.
Overhanging branches form the perfect vantage point for the kingfisher that nests in the bank walls. Apart from being a bird-rich area,
a herd of Galloway cattle also grazes in the flowery meadows.
