The Sint-Benedictusberg is a climb on the edge of the Bocholtz plateau. After you have descended the Kuhlweg from the German town of Orsbach (note: in the sharp turn at the bottom of the valley, there are often pebbles on the road), you climb along the border with the Netherlands past the Michaelshof farm to the plateau of Bocholtz. The road before the Michaelshof is in moderate condition (grass grows through the asphalt), but is still doable by road bike. There are two variants of the climb: in one variant you keep to the right after passing Michaelshof and you pass the sports field of Orsbach. In the second variant, you turn left after passing Michaelshof (steep part). The advantage of this second variant is that, if you then cross to Bocholtz, you bypass the bad road in Orsbach.
The climb is named after the nearby Abbey of Saint Benedict in Mamelis, located in the Netherlands.
