At Poldersdijk 3 there was a stone polder mill from 1756 that pumped the water from the polder into the Mark. In 1881 it was converted into a steam pumping station (water engine). In 1930 this became a diesel pumping station. The adjoining house functioned as a neighborhood café, where eel caught in the nearby fishing pond was also served. After the Second World War, the pumping station became redundant and fell into disrepair. In 1993 a new café was built, which was called In de Oude Watermachine.
Severely damaged by fire in 2011.
