Care farm Den Hof, Buitenlust 1, 4661 AL Halsteren is located on the Vrederust estate
Den Hof consists of a dairy farm, a care farm and a farm shop with a terrace.

(dairy) cattle farming
In addition to 70 dairy cows and 40 young stock, there are a few beef cows (Belgian white-blue) that can be admired in the summer in the adjacent Fort de Roovere nature reserve.
In collaboration with a colleague, the so-called 'Bergsche heidevlees' is produced with passion and love for the profession.

Care Farm
Since 2015, Den Hof has been an independent care farm. The Oerlemans family runs their business with great enthusiasm. The care farm offers people a safe place, a good atmosphere and individually targeted guidance and wants to help people move forward in their lives. The target groups are: people with a burnout, people with mental health problems, ex-addicts and people with a distance to the labor market. The guidance is provided by the farmer and farmer's wife and a trained supervisor.

Farm shop
In the shop you will find local products and fresh vegetables from our own garden: Asparagus until the end of June, samphire until the end of August, strawberries, delicious (snack) tomatoes, rhubarb, snow peas and summer beetroot. The company's own beef and veal is frozen in the store.

Terrace
Here visitors can enjoy an artisanal juice or coffee/tea.
