Mwórveld Distillery

During one of his many trips to Ireland, Ger Arts visited a small-scale whiskey distillery, which sparked his interest in distillation.
He decided to learn the trade and in 2017 he started his own production of spirits and whiskey. A beautiful location was found in the monumental farm Moorveldshof in Moorveld, municipality of Meerssen.
At this moment, Mwórveld Distillery produces whiskey, gin, shughuli, and fruit distillates, such as a flavorful plum eau de vie. Mwórveld Distillery aims to contribute to refining the flavor palate of distilled drinks.
Flavorful distillates lead to conscious consumption, where quality takes precedence over quantity. The flavors are developed through the use of high-quality raw materials, a craft distillation process, and aging in carefully selected wooden barrels.
The distillery uses raw materials from the region and pays maximum attention to the reuse of by-products. In all products, flavor is paramount: full, rich, and smooth.
The grain gin Kaore 3 won a gold medal at the International Wine and Spirits Competition in August 2020. You can read the jury report on the website.
The whiskey, inspired by Irish tradition, was released on April 25, 2021. A second batch was released at the end of September 2021, and the eighth whiskey has now been bottled.
The tasting room has been expanded to twenty-three seats.
