The Schinkelbos is a landscaped forest south of the Amsterdamse Bos in the municipality of Aalsmeer. The forest is located south of the Bosrandweg and is bordered on the west and south by the Ringvaart and the Mr.Jac.Takkade and on the east side the Rietwijkeroordweg.
The Schinkelbos was built in 1999 in the Schinkelpolder, from which it takes its name, south of the Bosrandweg. It can be regarded as an extension of the Amsterdamse Bos, but still got its own name. Together with the measures implemented in 2008 in the Southern Riparian lands near the Nieuwe Meer, the forest is part of the Green Axis, which provides a connection between the green areas in the area.
