The Museum Krona in the North Brabant town of Uden was founded in 1973. The then modest collection was exhibited in a liberated wing of the still inhabited Maria Refugie Abbey of the Birgittinessen Sisters on the outskirts of Uden. Over the years, the collection has grown expansively, the museum has been expanded several times and enriched with a herb garden. The museum was already renovated in 2005-2007 and again in 2018-2019 by architect Cees Dam, since then the name of the museum has been changed to 'Museum Krona. Art, monastery, herb garden'.
