Black Tulip Museum is a museum in the center of the municipality of Lisse, in the Netherlands dedicated to the history of the tulip.
In the museum, an interactive exhibition tells about 500 years of history of the bulb, and how its cultivation in the open field took place 100 years ago. It also tells about the science behind the development and reproduction of new varieties of tulips. In addition, the museum shows how artists were inspired by the beauty of tulips to make decorations of prints, paintings, glass, porcelain, silver and contemporary art.
