The Dubbele Wiericke (also known as Grote Wiericke) is a canal dug before 1367 to discharge the excess water from the Oude Rijn into the Hollandse IJssel. The Dubbele Wiericke is used as a waterway connection between the Oude Rijn and the Hollandse IJssel and is part of the old Dutch Waterline. The Dubbele Wiericke was dug from Nieuwerbrug via Driebruggen to Hekendorp.
