On the route we turn right to the Zonnebeekweg for a view of Huize Zonnebeek. This white country house, which was built in 1906-1907 to a design by A.G. Beltman for textile manufacturer J.B. van Heek and his American wife Edwina van Heek - Ewing. She was an American. The mansion looks a lot like the spacious accommodations from the Nashville area in Tennessee. The house and the park around it are not accessible to the public, but the eponymous 'Landgoed Zonnebeek' is 'open'.
