Muzee Scheveningen is a cultural and natural history museum in the Dutch seaside resort of Scheveningen, a district of The Hague, which depicts the history, culture and daily life of that place, especially in relation to the sea and fishing.
Muzee Scheveningen was founded in 2006 after the merger of Museum Scheveningen and the Zeemuseum. In addition to a cultural-historical collection, the museum also has an important marine biology collection. There are paintings and drawings to be seen especially around fishing and the history of the fishing village and seaside resort, together with the wonderful animal life in the sea. The museum has a large collection of shells from all over the world. A tropical marine aquarium is also part of the permanent exhibition.
